For the past 20 years DanSign has acted as a wayfinding and signage project consultant for Copenhagen Airport. Down to the minutest detail the system complies with the graphic identity created by Professor Erik Mollerup.
DanSign illuminated LED signs are used for the large information signs, whereas the DanSign LockSign system is used for static signage.
In 1990, Copenhagen Airport was awarded the Danish Design Council’s IG Prize for signage. The prize was given in recognition of the airport’s consistent signage design and visual identity, which made it easy for passengers to find their way about the building. The prize also awarded because the building design incorporates the high aesthetical requirements made by the airport.
